Safety Week 2026: Plan It. Own It. Do It Safely.

Gathered alongside over 4,100 trade partners and our employee-owners, we reinforced our commitment to creating zero-injury workplaces throughout Construction Safety Week 2026.

WE Own Safety.

Watch our safety video here.

This year’s Safety Week brought our commitment to construction safety to life with our national theme, “Plan It. Own It. Do It Safely.” Across our jobsites and offices, this message reinforced our core belief that safety is a shared responsibility anchored in our values: “WE are Forthright,” “WE Own It,” and “WE are One Team.” Throughout the week, our executive leaders further reinforced this commitment by sharing their personal insights, experiences, and perspectives on the importance of safety, demonstrating that leadership engagement is critical to building a strong safety culture.

During this annual, industry-wide safety-initiative, our teams led focused stand down activities designed to strengthen jobsite awareness, hazard recognition, and personal accountability. These sessions created space for open dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and recognition of the people who keep our projects safe every day.

From safety talks and tool demonstrations to hazard awareness training, we proudly delivered quality safety training and hands-on demonstrations to over 4,100 trade partners and employee-owners. Each session concluded with gestures of gratitude, recognizing their participation and commitment to safety.

At W.E. O’Neil, safety extends beyond compliance—it’s a culture rooted in continuous improvement, communication, and accountability. Our goal remains clear: to advance toward a zero-injury workplace where every team member returns home safely.

As Construction Safety Week concludes, we challenge everyone to raise the bar on safety excellence. Plan with purpose and determination, take ownership and act safely, and commit to creating safer workplaces for our people, partners, the communities, and especially for our loved ones waiting for us at home.

Below is a round-up of just some of the topics covered and the insights shared by our executive leadership.
