Design-Build
This design-build project transforms a 2,762 SF former bank into a modern new home for the Idaho Springs Police Department. The scope includes selective demolition, remediation, and a 1,089 SF addition, expanding the facility to 3,851 SF. A $1 million grant from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) Energy Impact Assistance Fund covers one-third of the $3 million total project cost.
The new station will feature a secure vehicle sallyport, updated façade, and upgraded MEP systems. Inside, durable finishes and structural improvements will provide a safe, efficient environment for officers and staff. Exterior enhancements, including new landscaping, concrete, and asphalt paving, will improve both functionality and the department’s presence in the heart of the community.
