300 S. Riverside Lobby Repositioning

25,000 SF renovation and expansion of lobby space in a downtown Chicago office building to modernize its appearance and improve functionality. The project involved improvements to the lobby’s collaborative areas, as well as an expansion enclosed by a custom, two-story monolithic glass wall and ceiling. The new space also features a full-service bar with high-end millwork, as well as a renovated terrace with an exposed aggregate colored concrete slab and terrazzo planter walls.

W.E. O’Neil completed the project within a busy downtown office building with minimal impact to tenants or the public. The project is also of note because of its location directly above Chicago’s Amtrak station; careful coordination was planned so as not to disrupt train operations.
