|Project||Northrop Grumman | M4 High Bay|
|Location||Redondo Beach, CA|
|Architect||Stephen Woolley and Associates|
|Market||Aerospace, Design Build, LEED|
|Scope||Design-build services were provided for this 10,000 SF High Bay, class 10K, clean room. The clean room featured such accessories as a centralized pit, penthouse, mezzanines, power distribution units, process piping, data infrastructure, and additional items suited for Northrop Grumman’s manufacturing and testing needs. Within the high bay a new design-build class 10K chamber and ante room with removable top-hat was provided. This chamber was designed and constructed to allow for article testing over a wide temperature and radio frequency spectrum. The high bay also included a 25 ton bridge crane for top hat removal and article relocation as well as a 1 ton jib crane to load and unload items at the high bay’s 50’ roll up door leading to the exterior. Flanking the high bay is a new 4,200 SF control building. This project was fully coordinated in BIM.
