||New construction of a 160,000 S.F. hangar in “hangar alley” at O’Hare International Airport to house six 737 aircraft. The project is being constructed from 7,000+ tons of steel and will be eleven stories tall when complete. It also includes 35,000 S.F. of support facilities and 600,000 S.F. aircraft and equipment parking apron. The project is adjacent to American’s existing Hangar 1 and several active aircraft taxiways, includes extensive site work, and is following the latest version of the City of Chicago’s Sustainable Airport Manual (SAM).
