Bastrop County Emergency Food Pantry earned the ABJ Community Impact Award for its commitment to serving Bastrop County and surrounding communities. Watch the project overview video to hear the team share the story behind the project and what it means to the community.

The 10,957 SF facility features a grocery-style “neighbor choice” model, allowing families to select their own food, schedule visits, and access a weekly community market.

W.E. O’Neil provided general contracting services for the project, which includes a new two-story building with warehouse, three intake rooms, and grocery spaces, along with the restoration of the historic Fayette Building into a hub for education and community programming.

Serving approximately 5,000 individuals annually, the expanded pantry is expected to double distribution capacity to 1 million pounds of food, strengthening its impact across the community.
