Janki DePalma is a connector at heart who always believes that there is room to widen the circle. As Director of Business Development, her role is to connect and expand our relationships in Austin, central Texas, and beyond. Her favorite part of this industry is turning business partners into friends. She worked on two projects in two states that held the title “Tallest Building West of the Mississippi.” With over 20 years of industry experience, Janki has built a reputation of being a smart, empathetic, and creative professional.
Janki has called Austin home since 2006 though she will always be a San Franciscan, rooting loudly for the 49ers, Warriors, and Giants. She is a frequent speaker and writer on topics such as networking, connection, and business soft skills. She plays an active role with the local chapters of Urban Land Institute (ULI), Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), American Institute of Architects (AIA), and Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) including being named the 2023 SMPS Chapter President of the Year for her work as the president of the Austin chapter.
I’m a big fan of mentoring both formally and informally and across generations. I feel like if I can make someone else’s path a little easier, I should do that. I owe a lot to the people who helped me, and everyone has something to teach me.
