Richard joined W.E. O’Neil Construction in 1997 as a project engineer and moved his way up the ranks to become one of O’Neil’s most valued and experienced project executives and vice presidents. He has provided leadership for some of the Midwest and West Coast region’s most recognizable projects, notably the Harrah’s Resort Southern California and Chicago’s Block 37 development downtown Chicago.
A significant contributor to W.E. O’Neil’s growth, Richard has built a reputation for understanding the unique needs of a diverse range of clients and markets including gaming, retail, hospitality, and theaters.
Richard shares his knowledge by participating in our mentor/protégé program. He’s also active in the Chicago office’s work/life balance, operations, and safety committees, and acts as W.E. O’Neil Chicago’s ESOP representative. Richard believes taking care of our people and taking care of our customers equals great buildings, great relationships, and great outcomes for the entire team.
