The Harlan

We are delivering ground-up construction of a 293,420 SF, four-story wrap multifamily development that will introduce 370 thoughtfully designed residential units in Ann Arbor, MI. The project includes a precast concrete parking garage with 325 covered spaces and 105 additional outdoor on-grade spaces. Of the spaces, 10% will be equipped with EV charging stations and the remaining 90% EV-capable to meet future electric vehicle demand.

The Harlan, on track for LEED Silver certification, is envisioned as a fully electric community powered by 20,000 SF of rooftop solar panels. Landscaping features native plant species, eliminating the need for irrigation water. Low-impact infrastructure such as permeable pavement and parking to manage stormwater runoff is also incorporated.

The Type V wood-framed residential structure will feature a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, complemented by 11,580 SF of interior amenities and leasing offices and 25,000 SF of exterior courtyards and amenity space.

Residents will enjoy an elevated living experience with amenities such as: 

• Two landscaped courtyards with pools and gathering areas 
• A state-of-the-art fitness center, club room, and co-working lounge 
• Golf simulator and resident package area 
• Front-of-house management offices and mail room 

The scope of work also includes the demolition of existing parking lots, along with comprehensive site improvements and landscaping to prepare the site for new construction.
