Sunrise of Gilbert has won several awards including being ranked as one of Money Magazine’s Best Places to Live in 2006, and twice winning the American Health Care Association National Center for Assisted Living’s National Quality Award: Bronze in 2015 and Silver in 2018. This 135,000 SF facility offers independent, assisted living, memory care, and short-term stay. Our work consisted of building two three-story buildings, one for independent living (77 units) and the other for assisted living (67 units).
Amenities include a one-story dining room connection between the buildings, two bistros, a fully equipped exercise room, an arts and crafts room, two TV rooms, a welcoming staff lounge, a hair salon, conference space, three spa rooms, a full-service kitchen, two serveries, two small dining rooms, a swimming pool, covered parking, and various support rooms.
The Independent Living building is constructed of wood stud framing with prefabricated wood trusses. The Assisted Living building is constructed of steel columns and beams, metal decking, metal stud framing, with a slab on grade first floor. Both buildings have a buildup asphalt roofing system for the flat roof and concrete flat tiles for the sloped roofing sections.
