Pueblo Norte Senior Living

W.E. O’Neil collaborated with RMR Group on a multiphase renovation of Pueblo Norte Senior Living, one of the top-rated senior living communities in Scottsdale, thoughtfully serving the aging population for decades. The community offers independent living, assisted living, and memory care units.

The first phase involved the conversion of approximately 17,200 SF of a vacant skilled nursing facility into a dedicated memory care residence. The project scope included the addition of a new reception area, kitchen, and administrative offices, as well as the transformation of the exterior courtyard into a secure memory care and therapy garden designed to support resident wellness.

The second phase consisted of a 43,373 SF renovation of existing assisted living and memory care spaces within an occupied facility. This phase included extensive upgrades across common areas on both the first and second floors with entries on grade at both levels. The improvements encompassed reception areas, kitchen and dining spaces, utility and support areas, offices, activity and game rooms, and corridors. Additional enhancements modernized key amenity spaces across Wings 1 and 6, including the library, multi-purpose room, therapy clinic, bistro and sports lounge, theater, and fitness room. Exterior modifications were also implemented to support construction access and improve connectivity.

The project also incorporated the design and construction of an exterior glulam structure. Together, these phased renovations delivered a contemporary, comfortable, and engaging environment for the entire community.
