The new 116,948 SF four-story self-storage facility is being constructed on a 2.44-acre undeveloped parcel between Golden Bear Gateway and Rutland Drive. To meet code requirements, the building utilizes a hybrid structural system: the ground level and below are designed to Type I-A standards using structural steel and a concrete podium while the upper floors will be Type II-B. All levels will be fully sprinklered.
The exterior is designed with a full-brick façade to comply with planning commission guidelines. The scope of work includes 16 onsite parking stalls and offsite improvements at the intersection of Rutland Drive and Golden Bear Gateway.
