The Union Wellness Center Coalition
Formed by a unified group of Local Trade Unions to provide better health services for their membership, the Union Wellness Centers (UWC) are exclusive to the members and the families of SMART Local 265, Plumbers Local 130, Iron Workers Local 63, Riggers Local 136, Cement Masons Local 502, and Electricians Locals 701 and 176.
All projects were a design-build effort with Gensler. The seven centers average 8,000 SF and include wellness clinics and vision care suites. Each center includes five exam rooms, labs, medicine storage areas, physical therapy space, vision exam rooms, medical office spaces, and a wellness education room.
W.E. O’Neil assisted with the property search and provided feedback on potential lease spaces and impacts to functionality of each final space.
