The Aster joins several new projects in Long Beach, California, increasing the area’s growing appetite for multifamily and retail establishments. This mixed-use property features 218 Type II wood-framed apartments over a two-level, above-garage podium with subterranean parking.
Commercial retail space covers 8,127 SF on the ground floor along with 8,951 SF of amenity space, including a leasing lobby, 12,349 SF of outdoor amenity spaces, and parking for 316 vehicles on two basement levels.
The design is a podium-type building, clad with a mix of cement plaster, metal petals, and brick veneer. Outdoor amenities include multiple outdoor decks at the building’s third and roof levels.
