Redevelopment of a historic office building to a 325,000 SF, 35-story, 382-key Marriott property. This complex project included all new design-build MEP systems, new exterior windows, clay tile arch structural infills, and reframing of new entrances and fire stairs, all within the historic, 100+ year old Holabird & Roche-designed Roanoke Building in Chicago’s central business district.
Construction was completed on a logistically challenging downtown Chicago site while first floor tenants remained in operation throughout the duration of the project. Due to W.E. O’Neil’s efficient scheduling and construction delivery, the project was completed 45 days ahead of schedule.
